The long way round

Australia is the world's largest island. It has a bloody long coastline. How long exactly? Put it this way: if you were to circumnavigate the Australian landmass (including Tasmania), with all its bays and coves and inlets, it would be almost equivalent in distance to circling the equator. This infographic puts some long distances into perspective.
